IGNITE Life’s Through Hayton’s Helpers

As a US Army Veteran, I felt the need to help not only homeless veterans but anyone that we could truly impact. Many people give to shelters but I wanted to go one-step further and go straight to the streets. As many know I am typically clean shaven and ever since 2015 I have been traveling for work and I started collecting the small travel size toiletries that are in the hotel rooms. I would collect the toiletries along with other items year round. I thought what better way than to be Santa Clause at Christmas for the homeless.  So every year I am clean-shaven from January to June and then July 1 the beard begins to take form. Then a few days before Christmas all the Elf’s and I get together in an assembly line fashion to make bags for those in need.

Each bag contains:

A bottle of Water/Socks/Toiletries/Food/Clothes/and a 1 dollar scratch off lottery ticket.

Once the bags are packed, the Elf’s and I go out to the streets and partake in the true meaning of giving.

Once the bags are gone we return home for the final tradition of the annual beard removal that the kids get to become barbers.

To this day the number of bags made each year increased tradition continues!
